Tokumura Sensei's Induction into the Isshinryu Hall of Fame

In March 2009 on Okinawa, Tokumura Kensho Sensei, 9th Dan, formed the idea of the Isshinryu Tomo No Kai (Isshinryu Friendship Association).

The Association was launched on Isshinryu Founder Shimabuku Tatsuo's birthdate, September 19, 2009. Tokumura Sensei, a 30 year Isshinryu practitioner under it's founder, is now a respected Gojuryu and RyuKyu Kobudo teacher. His goal is to assist in uniting the Isshinryu community through friendship. Tokumura Sensei often says, "I don't teach Karate & Kobudo to make money. I teach to make friends."
